We have been very lucky to be able to travel in the states, to Mexico, the Caribbean, South American and into Canada.  We don't travel first class and have learned the best thing you can take on a vacation is a sense of humor.

While the beach and Vegas are our favorite stops, we have been to and seen many interesting and fascinating places.

We have both taken trips without the other, seldom, but it happens.  I didn't list those trips, I am doing good to remember all of these.  Paulette keeps telling us we need to slow down.  Sorry Paulette, we still enjoy traveling and hope we have many exciting trips in our future.

Speaking of future trips, our travel bucket list includes:

Panama Canal (we'd love to cruise through there)
Alaska (another cruise)
New England
New York City
Boston
Rafting under the Royal Gorge Bridge
The Snake River
Train ride across Canada

And when we dream (with a winning lottery ticket in hand):

Bora Bora or Tahiti - or both
The Olympics - winter or summer
Transatlantic cruise
Whistler's mountain - skiing for Micky
Patagonia
a full month on Maroma Beach

People ask us to recommend resorts, vacation ideas, etc.  We do not like to do this.  What worked for us may not work for someone else.  We are content with a book, a shade tree and the beach.  We have solved huge international problems watching waves go in and out.  We could people watch for hours - especially in Vegas.  Some folks don't "sit" as well as we do and that is fine. We do believe that when it comes to travel, "to each his own."

Have we even had a bad vacation?  NEVER!  Have we had some that are much better than others?  Oh yes!   But we still agree...

There is no such thing as a bad day at the beach.   Anonymous
